Snook
Snook fishing is done primarily in the backcountry
waters of the Florida Keys, fishing around some of the many mangrove
islands, flats, and channels using either fly or spinning
tackle.
Snook fishing can be a test to the angler when the
fish are laid up tight against the mangroves or in potholes on the
open flats, the angler must make an accurate cast to the snook to be
successful.
Another not so challenging angling technique used for
snook is drifting live baits in the deeper channels around some of
the mangrove islands of the Florida Keys backcountry.
Snook is a fun fish to catch with it's aerobatic
display of jumps and lightening fast runs, not to mention snook is
one of the finest eating fish in the sea.
